Ice (preferably large cubes)
- 2 ounces Compari
- 1 ounce Aged rum
- 1/2 ounce Pomegranate juice
- 1/2 ounce Fresh blood orange juice
- 3 ounces Prosecco or dry champagne
- 1/4 ounce Elderflower liqueur (St-Germain)
- 2 dashes Orange bitters

- Dehydrated blood orange wheel garnish
- Fresh rosemary sprig, lightly charred for aroma
Fill a large wine glass or goblet with ice. (Use vintage crystal if you have it - Adam would approve.)
Add Campari, aged rum, pomegranate juice, blood orange juice, and elderflower liqueur.
Stir slowly with a long bar spoon; deliberate, unhurried, like you’ve got eternity.
Add orange bitters and top with prosecco and a splash of tonic water.
Give it one final, gentle stir to create a soft gradient of red and gold.
Garnish with the dehydrated blood orange wheel and a lightly charred rosemary sprig.
Why It Works
The Blood Oath Spritz is a slow, elegant burn - bitter, lush, and intoxicatingly beautiful. The Campari brings that medicinal, eternal bitterness; the pomegranate and blood orange deliver a sensual sweetness, and the elderflower liqueur lifts it with fleeting grace. Prosecco and tonic breathe life into it, sparkling and temporary, while aged rum grounds it in centuries of warmth.
Like Only Lovers Left Alive, this cocktail is all contrast: old and new, bitter and sweet, ancient and alive. It’s indulgence balanced by decay—civilized hedonism in liquid form.
