Equipment

  • Mixing glass
  • Strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce Pure maple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange Peel
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • In mixing glass, combine the whiskey, maple syrup and bitters
  • Add ice and stir until well chilled
  • Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube
  • Express the orange peel over the drink by squeezing it to release the oils, then drop into the glass
