Bayou Sang ("Blood of the Bayou")

Equipment

  • Shaker
  • Strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ounce Dark Rum or spiced rum
  • 1 ounce Red Wine shiraz or cabernet preferred
  • 1/2 ounce Creme de Cassis or substitute with a dash of Chambord or black cherry liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce Lemon Juice
  • splash Blueberry juice or muddled blueberries
  • mint or basil for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Shake rum, wine, cassis, lemon, and blueberry juice with ice.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice.
  • Garnish with basil or mint.
