Grabthar's Hammer
This is a drink worthy of the NSEA Protector's finest crew—or, at the very least, a washed-up group of actors who end up saving an entire alien species.
Equipment
- Mixing glass
- Strainer
Ingredients
- 2 ounce Rye Whiskey smooth but with a powerful punch)
- 3/4 ounce Benedictine to add complexity—like a layered sci-fi plot
- 1/2 ounce Sweet Vermouth classic and rich, balancing the drink
- 1 dash orange bitters for that final shockwave of flavor
- Flaming Citrus Peel because Grabthar’s Hammer needs some fire!
Instructions
- In a mixing glass, combine the rye whiskey, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, and bitters.
- Add ice and stir until well-chilled. (This drink is smooth, but still formidable.)
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass or over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- Express an orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then ignite it briefly for a flaming effect before dropping it in as garnish.
- Raise your glass and solemnly toast:“By Grabthar’s Hammer, this drink shall be avenged!”
