Bayou Sang ("Blood of the Bayou")

Thick, dark, and lush like a swamp at dusk.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Blueberry Juice (or mash ÂĽ cup blueberries + add 2 tbsp water)
  • 1/4 cup Grape Juice (Welch’s works great)
  • 1 teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar (trust us...) (or substitute with a squeeze of lemon juice for tang)
  • Mint or basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Optional: Mix a bit of sugar and salt to rim the glass for a swampy, layered contrast
  • If using fresh berries, mash blueberries and mix with a bit of water to extract juice. Strain if desired.
  • Stir blueberry juice, grape juice, and balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice) together until well mixed.
  • Fill a lowball or rocks glass with ice.
  • Pour mixture over ice.
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint or basil, and rim the glass if you're feeling extra.

A great drink to enjoy with your favorite vampire movie, like Sinners.
